Holiday photo gift ideas (that don’t require Canada Post!) | Black Friday sales | Toronto photographer Jessica Nip Photography

Over the past four years of being in business full-time, I’ve done a lot of research into photography products. For my family and newborn clients, I offer a very curated selection of printed products after each session: beautiful albums, fine art prints, and archival frames that will last generations when cared for properly. A custom photography session is an investment in both time and money, and I feel strongly that the products that display the art we created together should reflect that.

With that being said, we are about to enter the holiday season and Black Friday is three days away.

If you’ve had a session with me and are thinking about a photo-themed gift for a special someone, I am offering all my clients the $250 holiday session pricing on the framed 5×7″ fine art framed print. This is not a product in my regular line of products, as framed prints start at 8×10″. It is your image printed on fine art cotton paper, and custom matted and framed behind anti-glare, UV-protected glass in either a white, black, antique silver or antique gold frame as seen below. As with all products I offer, this is absolutely an heirloom piece and made locally. If you’d like more information or to order this for your special person (or yourself), send me a message!

Now, what about all your other photo gifting? I’ve got you covered there, too! Below are some of my personal favourites when it comes to photo-themed gifts and products. This morning, I have PERSONALLY PHONED each of these companies to inquire if they use Canada Post for their shipping or have a reasonable alternative! You’re welcome 🙂

You’ll have to click on the links to see the products (copying-and-pasting images from websites is not really a legit thing):

1) Artifact Uprising. Use code “GIFTJOY” for 20% sitewide. Beautiful calendars displayed on wood and brass easels. My parents have the magnetic wood calendar and my in-laws have the brass easel and desk calendar. They do not ship Canada Post!

2) Pikto. Use code “BLACKFRI18” for up to 40% off. Based in the Distillery District in downtown Toronto, this is a great place to make personal prints and books. I would recommend picking up your products in person. Their regular shipping is through Canada Post but they do have both UPS and FedEx as an option if you’re okay with a bit of added cost.

3) Pinhole Press. Their “holly jolly photo gifts” are 30% off until November 26th, no code needed. As of this post, I don’t see a Black Friday special for their other products yet. I have gifted the magnetic calendars to my husband over the past several years. Their regular shipping is Canada Post so make sure to select the FedEx option!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little bit of online shopping/browsing! If you have a favourite place to make your photo gifts, I’d love to hear from you so that I can add it to my personal list!

Happy Black Friday shopping,

-Jessica
