December.
This is my favourite month of the year. It’s filled with all the things I Iove most – my son’s birthday, the start of ski season in Ontario, my brother’s annual visit to Toronto, our wedding anniversary, and of course Christmas and all its related movies, concerts, food, and parties that are crammed into a few short weekends.
This year I find myself a bit more sentimental than usual. I think it’s because by the end of the year, my little December baby will turn 7.
And 7 is just three short years from 10.
Which is another three short years until we are at the teenage years.
AND (more terrifyingly), this will be my last Christmas as a 30-something year old. By next Christmas, I’ll be 40. As my little boy enters his “big boy” years, I’ll be entering a new decade in my life.
Oh boy.
I wish December would slow down a little! I’m not ready for 2018 just yet!
