It’s that time already! The annual holiday portrait sessions are now open for booking!
This is the 12th year for these sessions which means that I’ve been photographing some of the same families year after year for over a DECADE! If you’ve been with me for some or all of this time, THANK YOU! For the newcomers, these sessions are short and sweet; ideal for updating family portraits, holiday cards and social sharing. Spots are limited so book today before they sell out!
Dates and details:
1) Sunday November 9 between 9:30am and 3:30pm at at Archive Studios in downtown Toronto (411 Richmond Street East).
This is one of my all-time favourite studios so I’m excited to be returning! Their setup this year is termed “Velvet Noel” and will feature TWO rooms: a smaller one with a large velvet green bow above the fireplace and trees decorated in white and gold. The second, larger room will have a decorated tree and neutral seating to add some more variety to your portraits. Feel free to check out the studio’s website for more photos of the rooms – you’ll see why many couples choose this studio as a wedding venue (such pretty architecture and light)!
Below is the studio’s holiday concept image as well as photos of the larger room. You can click on each image to enlarge it. Actual setup photos will be shared once they are released by the studio. There is paid street parking in front of and around the studio, and there is an accessibility ramp upon advance request (there are a few steps up to the main floor).
2) Saturday November 16 between 9:30am and 3:30pm at Studio Plus Four located near Keele and Lawrence. The theme here will be “Rouge Noel”, with the concept board from the studio below. Actual set photos still to be released by the studio (I will share them once they’re available). This studio has ample free parking and is on the ground floor. The all-white corner will also be available for some non-themed portraits!
***SOLD OUT*** 3) Saturday November 29 between 10:00am and 1:30pm at Fieldwork Studio at Pape and Eastern Avenue.
This studio is GORGEOUS and I will not be adding any holiday elements other than some fairy twinkle lights (e.g. to the ladder, around some plants, and likely on the floor and seats). I will also bring some holiday wreaths and props if you’d like stronger theming in your portraits. If you prefer to let your outfits do the talking, or enjoy the simpler, “hint of Christmas” look, this would be for you! The photos below were taken on my phone during my site visit this week. They also have an all-white corner. Free street parking is available.
